A Day in the Life of a Lead HVAC Installer

The Lead HVAC Installer position will work as part of a dynamic and passionate team to demonstrate technical competency and exceed customer expectations by accomplishing the highest quality installations, every time. The job will involve new construction and retrofits (change outs) for commercial and residential jobs. By working closely with their team, they will complete jobs efficiently and accurately and make the customer happy. Our Lead HVAC Installer will use their ability to know how to establish customer rapport to ensure highest levels of satisfaction. They will show themselves as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business. In addition, our Lead HVAC Installer will adhere to the company's plan for resolving customer complaints quickly and favorably. They will maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck. Their excellent verbal and written communication skills will help them to be accurate and timely with invoices and time sheets. In addition, our Lead HVAC Installer will participate in all training and ongoing education to keep up on industry technology. Our Lead HVAC Installer will be responsible for supervising, managing and supporting a team of installers and ensure that all company policies are being followed.

What you Need to be Qualified for the Lead HVAC Installer position

In order to be qualified for the Lead HVAC Installer position, a minimum of five years' experience including hands-on training and/or work is required as well as having their EPA certification. We will pay to get their TDLR Air Conditioning Technician card. Knowledge of local HVAC codes and the ability to make on-the-job applications is required. A proven track record in heating and cooling systems is required including the ability to draw simple diagrams, read blueprints and other diagrams. Must have own basic hand tools, cordless tools, meter, refrigerant gauges, and acetylene & oxygen torch. The company provides custom payment plan per employee for tools needed other than their own. A clean, safe driving record and a valid Driver's License is required for our Lead HVAC Installer. They must be prompt to work every day. Our Lead HVAC Installer needs to be highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Their passion about the HVAC industry and high integrity with advanced social skills will help in their ability to make solid connections and repeat business. A strong desire to be a better Installer tomorrow than you are today with an outgoing personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment is imperative. Our Lead HVAC Installer needs to be a competitive individual contributor who also loves to win as a team and be humble enough to learn and listen to others. We need our Lead HVAC Installer to be great with coaching and building team members through accountability and clearly set expectations. The Lead position involves keeping up with paperwork like work orders, supply house invoices, control audit sheets, etc. and keeping trucks stocked and in order. A plus if you can build metal work.
